The Mission of Get Body Beautiful

Good health is important to our existence, and is a key indicator to our faith. Faith is the substance of thing hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

The mission of Body Beautiful, founded in 1998, is to encourage nutrition, fitness and healthier lifestyles through corporate and community health initiatives. The Get Body Beautiful philosophy promotes greater wellness can be achieved by focusing on three key areas: lifestyle, fitness and nutrition. Riggs’ favorite saying is “Get Body Beautiful” She believes that greater health and wellness can be achieved at any age, weight and socio-economic level by making small changes in lifestyle, nutrition and fitness. The founding of Body Beautiful led to the launch of the “Get Body Beautiful” campaign in 2007 to provide motivation and tools for women seeking to improve their health and conquer long term weight management despite the alarming obesity rates impacting women of color around the world. The program attracted over 30,000 participants in the first year and has grown to over 100,000 participants, while garnering more several million TV, radio and print impressions.
Achievements

Get Body Beautiful has been widely recognized and include a proclamation from the City of Atlanta. In 2011, she was named the celebrity fitness trainer by Black Health Magazine and was also recognized in the 2011 edition of “Who's Who in Black Atlanta” as an interesting personality. Additionally, Rolling Out magazine honored her with Atlanta's Top 25 Women of Influence award.

Get Body Beautiful has an impressive list of Fortune 300 and Fortune 500 ranked corporate partners, community advocates and celebrity clients. Her corporate and celebrity partnerships have included: Dr. Oz, McDonald's, Aetna, American Family Insurance, Bronner Bros., Humana, R&B artists Angie Stone and Chrisette Michelle, Gatorade, United Healthcare, Bronner Brothers, and Spellman College.
In mid-2012, she was named Life Line Screening’s “ambassador of wellness,” promoting the message of disease prevention. She also serves as an ambassador for the American Heart Association

Besides promoting health and fitness through vehicles such as her company, the “Get Body Beautiful” campaign and her radio show, Andrea recently authored her first book, “Get Body Beautiful: A 30-Day Fat Loss & Body Toning Plan.” In the book, Riggs offers practical advice and tools in three key areas: lifestyle, nutrition and fitness.
